Box Office Weekend: Tyler Laughs Again

Looks like people wanted some comedy this weekend after all the horror stuff. It could be they are horror movied out at this point. Not reassuring for Jennifer's Body next week. Of the new releases Tyler Perry's latest low budget came out on top. Next to the Winneas this guy makes the most of a few dollars. Of course when you aim low, it's not hard to win.The other big weeks newcomers did not fare well at all. 9 managed to make second place but it was at least 10 million behind, with mediocre reviews. Mean while Sorority Row and Whiteout both failed miserably, each taking in just over 5 million. Inglorious Basterds keeps doing well in third place after 4 weeks it's now made it over the 100 million mark, a win for the Weinsteins.
